How to match each level of air filter


First, a reasonable mix of air filter efficiency

When selecting a pre-filter mesh, it is necessary to consider the factors such as the use environment, spare parts cost, operating energy consumption, maintenance and supply. In particular, before the hepa filter at the end of the clean room, the filter with the efficiency specification not lower than F8 should be used for protection; the filter of F9~H11 can be used before the hepa filter. The air conditioning system itself should be protected by a filter with an efficiency not lower than F5. In the sand-free and low-pollution areas, there is no pre-filter before the F7 filter; in the urban air-conditioning system, the common primary filters are G3~F6.

In general, the last stage filter determines the cleanliness of the air supply. The upstream filters protect the lower end filter to extend its service life or protect the air conditioning system to ensure proper operation. Properly match the efficiency of the filters at each level. If the efficiency of the adjacent two stages is too different, the previous level will not be able to act as the level after the protection.

Second, choose a filter with a large filter area

Experience has shown that for the same structure and the same filter material, when the final resistance is determined, the filter area is increased by 50%, and its service life is extended by 70% to 80%; the area is doubled, and the service life of the filter is about Three times. The filter area is large, the dust can be accommodated, and the filter has a long service life. The filter area is large, the velocity of the airflow through the material is low, and the resistance of the filter is small. Increasing the filtration area is the most effective means of extending the life of the filter. Of course, when increasing the filtration area, consider the structure of the filter and the site conditions.
